Very nice place, excellent food, amazing people, and the place with the best pies in the world.

We enjoyed very much. The Chicken salad was amazing. The portions were very good size. The waitstaff was wonderful.

It is excellent food . All homemade from scratch.

Placed a pick up order and arrived early, they greeted me at my car as soon as I parked and had my order out to me within 3 minutes. Great service especially during a difficult time!

Farmhouse Cafe was our first dine in restaurant experience since this virus began and the restrictions were eased. The staff worked like a well oiled machine! From social distancing to plastic cutlery and paper plates, they didn't miss a beat. It was obvious they went to great lengths to keep themselves and their patrons safe. Well done! The food, as always, was DELICIOUS! We will be back!!

It was delicious, large portions that i i couldn't even finish. When you want that home cooking this was a great place to go especially driving through Texas.

Their initial bread buns are warm soft and delicious. Two wheat huge rolls, one white and 3 gigantic squares of corn bread with broccoli. Yes broccoli. Don't knock it til you try it! Couldn't stop eating it! I try to eat healthy so I ordered the grilled chicken breast but it was a little dry. My husband had the shrimp coctail that was awesome. So good! But the real winner was their pie. Coconut cream. YUMMY! Try all of them.

The best chicken fried steak I have had in YEARS. The service from our Waitress was top notch. Thank you for a great experience. The next time we are traveling through Huntsville we will definitely be eating at this restaurant.

Very pleased with our lunch. We had the monte Cristo, a club, and salad. All very tasty. Great that you get rolls to start. But OMG that peanut butter pie was amazing!!! I have never had a pie that good. Highly recommend!

Quality food for a good price, nice atmosphere, and helpful staff.

Had the Country Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was good! I enjoyed the plate, and priced well. Also tried the Shrimp Brochette, which were advertised as jumbo, but they were more of a medium. They tasted great, and had plenty of cheese, but for the price I expected a bit bigger shrimp. That won’t stop me from trying this place on a future visit to town, and I heard good reviews from the locals on other dishes.

A friend told us about this place and we're glad they did. Great southern style, home cooking. The food was perfect. Knocking off 1 star because the service was really slow, but to be fair, the place was insanely packed. I will be back when in the area.

Huntsville's Favorite RestaurantThis place is doing good business just about every day. Chicken Fried Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak are favorites. The hamburgers are great. My daughter likes the tortilla soup. My wife likes the broccoli cornbread.

Catfish was great.Unfortunately they have only 1 deep fryer so if you are allergic to something you may have to get something baked or pan fried.

Love this place, they always have amazing down home cooked food and everything tastes delicious! Won't be disappointed!

Decent food. Pie is good. No one wearing face masks or gloves. Seating is not socially distanced.

A delightful buzz fills this spacious country decorated room as diners eat their dinners. The space and menu might appear as a normal diner might. However the food is sadly underwhelming. The cooks (can't call them chefs) need to learn how to make basic things like mac and cheese and fried chicken. Seasoning is required and grease should not be the main ingredient. I have high hopes for this place. The potential is so big for a restaurant that rises above the norm in this small community.

Older standalone restaurant serving American comfort food. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Decor, bathrooms, etc could use some TLC. Food was good but far from great. Portions were ample. Prices were reasonable.

We tried the Chicken Fried steak with corn and mac and cheese. Mac and Cheese needed a little flavor.The rolls were great for an appetizer along with the green fried tomatoes! Delicious. For dessert we had the key lime pie and it was very good. We also tried the banana shake and it was as good as you would expect. Hostess was very polite and courteous to our family, they sat us quickly and the waiter was quick to take our drink orders and make recommendations. This is the second year in a row we came here for family Easter dinner.Thank you for the great service and clean family environment.

Great tasting Southern comfort food in a homey atmosphere. Menu sports several appetizers including fried pickles and fried green tomatoes; a few salads; and entrees like chicken fried steak, shrimp, catfish, burgers and sandwiches. Save room for dessert; choices include a variety of homemade pies and cakes.

Serve is great! The wait staff are attentive and the environment is very comfortable. Some of the food could use a little extra seasoning but maybe that's just me. Anyways if you want a good atmosphere and some very homie food then come here!

A friend of mine suggested we give this place a try and we were not disappointed! The bread basket alone makes it worth the visit. Lol! We opted for the chicken fried steak. Crisp batter and the meat so tender! The cream gravy is to die for! You could drink it with a straw! We were so full, we didn't get to try the desserts. They all looked amazing and homemade! We'll have to save room for next time.

Farmhouse has to be the best restaurant in Huntsville by far. If you visit Huntsville, you simply must visit Farmhouse. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and save room for the pies; they are worth the extra stomach space.

We had bacon-wrapped shrimp and country-fried steak. We also had fried dill pickles and fried avocados for an appetizer. Dessert was apple pie and coconut cream pie. It was all delicious. Fast and friendly service. Recommended by locals.

Fried pickles were great. The chicken salad wasn't my cup of tea, but was ok. Atmosphere and service was reallt good.

Their rolls, as well as their cake is what makes the place. Everyone is super nice here and I love my experience each and every time.

Everything very fresh and flavorful, good service, good prices. Pretty sure my blue cheese dressing was homemade. Wished we had saved room for homemade pie or cake. Would definitely go again if passing through Huntsville!

I called my food in it wasn't very seasoned so very bland. You have to watch them on the prices these days. I love this place and when their on point its the best home cooking in Huntsville

Fantastic charcoal chicken & chicken fried steak. Excellent vegetables. Pie so good we bought a whole chocolate pie to take home.

So it was our first time there... Had high expectations going in because its always packed. First of all we sat on " the patio" which kinda made me feel left out.. But it was beautiful outside so ok... He had the wedge salad and i had the chicken fried steak with pinto beans and fried okra.. It took FOREVER to be waited on.. Way longer than it should have. Even getting simple items to our table took FOREVER. Like ketchup or a drink. They start you off with an amazing broccoli cornbread.. OMG..its amazing.. And rolls with butter and jelly.. So i once again had high hopes for this food.. Man.. That was the most bland food i have ever had besides hospital food.. Lord now we needed salt but why ask id be done eating before i had gotten it ! Any who.. Service sucked more than the food . i may give them one more chance..they have coconut creme pie!

Food was ok the waiter was very slow and he had our order wrong, the ladies working as waitress shorts were to short. Digging pulling their shorts down and went to serve a table was unprofessional. I thought I was eating at farmhouse not Hooters .

A surprisingly good and authentic Cafe in a small town. Definitely worth a detour if you're driving by Huntsville.

Country Fried Steak was delicious! I got the smaller portion. I don't even want to know how big the larger portion is!

The bread was good, the chicken fried chicken was ok, but the buttermilk chess pie was awful! It was dry dry dry. We got the pie to go, otherwise I would have sent it back. Not sure if it was a couple days old or baked too long.

It was pretty good. The bread and corn bread were very good. Chicken fried steak was great, Mac n cheese wasn't dried out and was in cheese sauce! The restaurant was a bit dark and wanted to try the pies but too full from the meal however they look phenomenal.

Driving through Huntsville and decided to give it a shot after reading reviews. Place looks comfy, bread was normal, food was okay. Nothing real special. Waiter was inattentive. The food came out quick( reason for stars given). Food wasn't anything special, too bland for my taste. Will try something else when driving through.

The place can be very busy but it is worth it. The service time is as expected when ordering food that is cooked fresh. The food is good and the server was awesome. Not to mention the pie is delicious!!!Great home style food!!!

Wonderful food! I had fried avocados, flavorful real chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and tender fried okra. Huge piece of chocolate cake that was enough to share with three people. Hot homemade yeast rolls with fresh butter. We were greeted by friendly welcoming staff. Made us feel right at home. Service was quick and they tended to our every need with warmth and efficiency. I loved the whole experience! Will definitely go again when I'm down in those neck of the woods! Yummy! Yummy!

Farmhouse Cafe was excellent ,ordered the hamburger and onion rings. and wife had a vegetable plate.the cornbread was worth the trip.The desserts looked amazing.highly recommend the Farmhouse cafe.

It is just a little more than we would usually pay for lunch. However, I believe that it is worth the price. They first serve the rolls/cornbread. It has to be the best cornbread that I have ever had! They put broccoli in it. It is wonderful! The yeasts rolls melt in your mouth. One can easily fill up on bread. I had the loaded baked potato soup. Again the absolute best that I have had! Next trip to Huntsville, I will be back!
